Just with letters, there are the "fpm" examples above already but fedora took "f" as infinity (that would have been good) and any single "f" would probably just get some confused Facebook users and the only tool (connoting "building", which fpm does well) that I can think of that looks like an "F" is a monkey wrench, which probably is not the best symbol to use.
